Apple Mail<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n Apple Mail doesn\u2019t have the option to whitelist like some other email providers do. Instead, all you\r\n can do is mark something as \u201cNot Junk\u201d and it will be sent to your inbox. Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\r\n\r\n
\r\n - Open your Mail app and go to the Mailboxes<\/span> screen.\r\n <\/li>\r\n
- Select the Junk<\/span> folder.<\/li>\r\n
- Find the email you want to whitelist and swipe left to see options.<\/li>\r\n
- Tap the More<\/span> button.<\/li>\r\n
- Tap the Mark<\/span> button.<\/li>\r\n
- Tap the Mark as Not Junk<\/span> button.<\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n\r\n

To add an email address to your mobile Yahoo! Mail contacts (and ensure delivery), follow these\r\n steps:<\/p>\r\n\r\n
\r\n - Tap the hamburger menu (three stacked lines) in the top left.<\/li>\r\n
- Tap Settings and scroll down to Filters.<\/li>\r\n
- Select the email account you want to add a filter for.<\/li>\r\n
- Tap the + icon to add a new filter.<\/li>\r\n
- Name it anything you want (such as \u201cWhitelist\u201d), then either:<\/li>\r\n
\r\n - \r\n Add the exact email you want to whitelist OR;\r\n <\/li>\r\n
- \r\n Add the @domain.com you want to whitelist to get deliveries from every email at that domain.\r\n <\/li>\r\n <\/ul>\r\n
- Click the \u2713 icon in the top right to save the filter.<\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n\r\n

On Outlook mobile, you can add senders to your focused inbox to ensure delivery of their emails.\r\n Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\r\n\r\n
\r\n - Open the email you want to whitelist.<\/li>\r\n
- Tap the three dots<\/span> in the top right of the screen (not\r\n the dots inside the email).<\/li>\r\n
- Tap Move to Focused Inbox.<\/span><\/li>\r\n
- In the popup box, tap the radius button for \u201cMove this and\r\n all future messages\u201d<\/span> then tap MOVE TO FOLDER.<\/span><\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n\r\n

Desktop (Mac\/PC) Email Apps<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n Gmail<\/p>\r\n\r\n
There are three ways to whitelist emails using Gmail:<\/p>\r\n\r\n
\r\n - Gmail tabs<\/li>\r\n
- Marking an email as \u201cnot spam\u201d<\/li>\r\n
- Creating a filter<\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n\r\n
If you\u2019re using Gmail tabs (Promotional and Social), click and drag the email you want to whitelist\r\n from the tab it\u2019s in to the Primary tab, like so:<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Finally, if an email is already in your primary folder but you want to make sure all emails from this\r\n sender always end up there, you can create a filter. To do this, follow these steps:<\/p>\r\n\r\n
\r\n - Click the cog icon<\/span> in the top-right corner, and then\r\n Settings<\/span> from the drop-down menu.\r\n <\/li>\r\n
- Click the Filters tab then Create a new filter.<\/span><\/li>\r\n
- Enter the domain of the email you want to whitelist in the From<\/span> field.<\/li>\r\n
- Click Create filter with this search.<\/span><\/li>\r\n
- In the box titled When a message arrives that matches this search select Never send it to spam.<\/span><\/li>\r\n
- Click the Create filter<\/span> button.<\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n\r\n

To whitelist an email in any version of Outlook after 2000:<\/p>\r\n\r\n

- Click Add Sender to Safe Senders List. You can also click Add the Domain\r\n @domain.com to Safe Senders List to whitelist all emails coming from any email address on that\r\n domain.<\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n\r\n

- At the top right, click the Mail icon<\/span> to get to your\r\n inbox.<\/li>\r\n
- Click the Address Book tab.<\/span><\/li>\r\n
- Click +Create Contact<\/span> in the top menu (looks like a\r\n head silhouette with a plus sign).<\/li>\r\n
- Add the sender\u2019s email address.<\/li>\r\n
- Click Save<\/span> to save and whitelist the contact.<\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n\r\n

AT&T uses the Yahoo! Mail app platform, so whitelisting instructions are the same with both. To\r\n whitelist contacts with these email providers:<\/p>\r\n\r\n
\r\n - Click the contact book in the right-hand menu.<\/li>\r\n
- At the bottom of the sidebar, click +Add new contact.<\/li>\r\n
- Enter the name and email information of the sender you want to whitelist (you can\r\n use a business name).<\/li>\r\n
- Click Save.<\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n\r\n

Mac OS X Mail App<\/p>\r\n\r\n
To whitelist all emails from a domain in the Mail app for Mac OS X or macOS:<\/p>\r\n\r\n
\r\n - In the top menu, click Mail > Preferences.<\/span><\/li>\r\n
- Click the Rules<\/span> tab.<\/li>\r\n
- Click Add Rule.<\/span><\/li>\r\n
- Enter a whitelist name in the Description<\/span> field, such\r\n as \"Whitelist: domain.com\" to create the new rule.<\/li>\r\n
- For conditions, set the first dropdown menu item to any.<\/span> It should say: If any of the following\r\n conditions are met.<\/span><\/li>\r\n
- In the following dropdown menus, select From<\/span> in the\r\n first field and Ends with<\/span> in the second field.<\/li>\r\n
- In the text field following Ends with<\/span>, enter the\r\n domain name that you want to whitelist. Include \"@\" before the domain name to make the filter\r\n specific\u2014for example, to whitelist all mail from the domain.com domain, but not mail that might\r\n come from one of its subdomains (such as @subdomain.domain.com), type \"@domain.com\" into the field.\r\n <\/li>\r\n
- Click the plus sign<\/span> next to the last condition to add\r\n another domain with the same criteria if you want to whitelist more domains.<\/li>\r\n
- In the Perform the following actions<\/span> section, set the\r\n three dropdown items to: Move Message<\/span>, to the mailbox: Inbox<\/span> (or any target folder you want).<\/li>\r\n
- Click OK<\/span> to save the rule.<\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n\r\n

Whitelisting email addresses in other email providers<\/p>\r\n\r\n
Select the email from your inbox and look for the menu option and add to safe senders or whatever your email service calls them.<\/p>\r\n
Or,<\/p>\r\n
Check your spam or junk folder, select the email and select the option for \u2018not junk\u2019 or however the email service labels the option.<\/p>\r\n
This should ensure that emails from select senders will always end up in your inbox rather than spam.<\/p>\r\n
It\u2019s a reactive process that does require you to monitor your spam folder but it has been that way since email first arrived and is unlikely to change anytime soon!<\/p>\r\n
